From the captivating window display to the lavishly inviting interior, to the impeccably hand-crafted gowns, brides and celebrities alike have fallen in love with Winnie Couture. We sat down with the Chicago team to learn what it is that makes Winnie stand out from other bridal salons, and how they offer an experience like no other.
What makes Winnie stand out from other bridal salons in Chicago?
At Winnie, we care about our brides and her experience. Our customer service seems to be unmatched by any other bridal salon in the Chicagoland area. We really pride ourselves on providing the best possible wedding dress shopping experience for each and every bride. Not only will you leave with the wedding dress of your dreams, but you become a part of our Winnie family.
What is a trend that you and your brides are loving right now?
Brides are loving off the shoulder straps. It is an elegant touch to a strapless gown. An awesome feature that Winnie provides is making the straps detachable. This is perfect for a bride that wants to be versatile. Also off the shoulder straps can be restricting which many brides don’t understand until the wedding day. This way you have the stunning look without compromising on your comfort. Come reception take those straps off and dance the night away.
What do you love most about working in bridal?
I love when a bride has her bridal moment. That moment she is in her gown and everything else disappears. Some cry, some laugh, some cheer, or do all three. It is so exciting to find the perfect gown to say I Do in.
What is your best memory of being a bridal stylist so far?
We had a Bridal Soiree celebrating our one year anniversary of the Chicago location last year. I loved seeing the smiles on the brides’ faces as they interacted with the gowns. It was great connecting with them and sharing everything that is Winnie Couture.
Do you have a favorite wedding gown?
I do not, it is always constantly changing. I often find myself loving a new gown every week. Why is that? A bride brings a gown to life and every gown doesn’t suit every bride. This week I am loving our Celine gown. Hanging, you can’t admire the lacework on the bodice, but once it is, on it is gorgeous. The illusion neckline shows off how unique the lace truly is. It also has a soft A-line skirt that is perfect for dancing and twirling. In the light, you will even catch the slight glisten from the light beading on the bodice.
What is the biggest piece of advice you could offer to brides just starting out on their wedding dress search?
Searching for your wedding gown can be fun but it can also be stressful. Wait until you’re in the mindset to find the one because then the one will find you. You can try on so many pretty gowns, but only one is the one for your big day. Over shopping is a thing, and you will get overwhelmed very quickly if you are just shopping to try on pretty things. It also won’t help narrow down what you are looking for or what works best for you.
